Getting the shots
My goal is to capture the mood and moments of the day with whichever approach best suits the situation and subject. Sometimes a reportage ‘hands off’ approach is a better, sometimes a little art direction is necessary.
Wherever possible I will shoot as events occur, the mood ebbing and flowing with every human reaction and interaction, but there will inevitably be a need to pose or position some shots, especially with certain group pictures and portraits. I aim to get the best out of both the location and you.
Coverage
The level of coverage can be discussed ensuring your collection of images is truly personal. Particular shots may be requested on the day, some couples supply a short list of ‘must have’ shots before the wedding which is fine.
I don’t put any limit on the number of shots I take. Different weddings present different photo opportunities, the number of shots is based on this not any pre-arranged picture count.
Coverage commences (if not including bride’s prep) 30-45 minutes prior to ceremony and concludes (if not including evening photography) at start of wedding breakfast.
Hire Fees
My hire fees for wedding photography start at £400 for the first hour, £200 per hour thereafter or bespoke packages may be arranged for half/full day coverage. Fees include 4″ prints presented in wedding album/s and high-resolution digital images, supplied on a USB drive.
Concessions are available for very small weddings, mid-week weddings or out-of-season dates between November and February. So please contact me directly for a custom quote to suit your needs.
Reprints & Enlargements
Although printable digital images are included, I do still provide a print enlargement service should it be required, including canvas and other panel prints up to 48″. Discounts are offered for print orders placed directly with me (rather than the gallery checkout) within three months of pictures being available online.
A bespoke enlargement package may also be agreed with your booking, entitling you to the biggest discounts on prints up to 16×12”. Basic retouching on reprinted images is free, with any complex retouching such as compositing being priced according to each individual job. Print prices will be supplied at our first meeting.
Second and third 4″ print sets may also be agreed at booking for substantial saving on post-wedding parent sets. These subsequent print sets are available with or without albums.
Booking and Payment Terms
A booking form must be completed and signed and a non-refundable deposit paid of a minimum of £100 to secure your booking.
At least two thirds of the agreed package fee must be paid prior to the wedding date. An invoice detailing payments received, remaining balance and next minimum payment will be issued ahead of the wedding. Any remaining balance may be settled on receipt of your wedding prints.
Couples may add other products to their package at any time up to the wedding but where evening coverage has not originally been arranged I cannot guarantee my availability for evening coverage if this was not agreed at time of booking.
Rescheduling Photography – Coronavirus Update
As we return to normal here in the UK deposits will no longer be refundable due to date changes should I not be available for proposed new date.
Should photography requirements need to be scaled back due to any future covid restrictions (ie. limited or no reception coverage) we can of course downscale your package and adjust the fee accordingly. Wedding time changes are rarely an issue although I would naturally expect to be informed well ahead of the wedding.
